Wild Elk Sighting in Williams

I was just a few minutes behind my brother when he phoned me and said that he had seen an elk just off to the left of the highway. I got the camera ready and not much more than 2 minutes passed and there he was. The he was a she (doe). The long snout told me it was an elk and not a deer. The sighting was between mile marker 158 and 159.

Hello,
I currently live in Oregon but grew up in ASh Fork and graduated from high school there many years ago. I apreciate looking at the pix that you have posted on the internet because in some cases it brings back memories. I want to pass on a comment about the elk and just for information only, female elk are called "cows". Thanks again for the pix.
